May is Lupus Awareness Month.

The 3 Types of Lupus

3 Types of Lupus:
⦁ Systemic Lupus erythematosus (SLE) is the form of Lupus most often referred to as Lupus...
⦁ Discoid Lupus erythematosus only affects the skin...
⦁ Drug-induced Lupus refers to a form of Lupus caused by the use of certain medications.

My thoughts: The Best advice I can give you is to do all the research you can on Lupus.  Because it affects each of us differently.  There are many symptoms and what one has another won't have.  Lupus tends to mimic other diseases. As well as cause other types of diseases to come out. For an example: Fibromyalgia and MCTD aka Mixed Connective tissue Disease (which is also Mimics) plus any other immune type.
My World:  With me it started with SLE Lupus, now I have more than enough, Fibromyalgia has come into the picture as well as MCTD.  Maybe these 3 should get together and fly to Mars? oh, I'm just thinking what to do with these 3. (giggling) I was DX with Lupus December 7, 2006.  And I have learned to Listen to my body. A lot of times I wouldn't and it made me pay big time. But, not sure which one of us is stubborn the most. My brain or my body. hmmm, who knows!
Final Thoughts:  Just know this, even tho you have one of the Lupus types, you are not alone.
